Everything u need to know anon, no fluff
Dead simple. Chat with AI, pay with SOL. No email signup BS, no KYC nonsense, no monthly subscriptions draining your bags. Just connect wallet and vibe with the top AI models. pay402chat is the first truly decentralized AI chat platform where you pay per message using Solana. Every transaction is verified on-chain, giving you full transparency and control over your spending.
1. Hit that "Connect Wallet" button (top right, can't miss it ser)
2. Connect ur Phantom or Solflare wallet (you know the drill)
3. Make sure you got some SOL loaded (minimum 0.005 SOL + gas)
4. Drop your question in the chat
5. Approve the payment tx in your wallet (0.005 SOL)
6. Get AI response instantly, ez
The whole process takes like 10 seconds. No account creation, no waiting for approvals, no verification emails. Pure crypto speed.
0.005 SOL per message. That's it anon. No rugpulls, no hidden fees, no subscription traps. Pay per use like crypto intended. Every message = one on-chain transaction for full transparency. You can verify every payment on Solscan. Different AI models may have different rates in the future, but rn it's flat 0.005 SOL across the board. Way cheaper than ChatGPT Plus and you only pay for what you use. NGMI if you're still paying $20/month for AI.
Phantom and Solflare wallets are supported rn. Both desktop and mobile work perfectly. If it holds SOL, we're good fam. More wallet support coming soon (Backpack, Sollet, etc). Just make sure you got some SOL in there - minimum 0.005 SOL per message plus a tiny bit for gas fees (usually like 0.000005 SOL).
Right now we got ChatGPT (GPT-4 and GPT-5) by OpenAI. Soon™ we're shipping: Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), and DeepSeek. We're adding new models as fast as we can ser. Check the model selector in chat to see what's live. Each model has its own strengths - GPT for general tasks, Claude for writing, Gemini for research, Grok for based takes. We're shipping fast, stay tuned anon.
Yep fren. Everything's stored locally in your browser, tied to your wallet address. Each wallet = separate history. Switch wallets = different chat history. No cloud, no servers, no centralized databases. Just pure local storage. Your chats never leave your device. This means if you clear your browser data, your history is gone (backup important convos ser). But it also means true privacy - we literally can't access your chats even if we wanted to.
No charge, no AI response. Nothing lost except maybe some gas (but even that gets refunded if tx fails). Just send it again anon. Common reasons for failures: insufficient SOL balance, wallet approval timeout, network congestion. Check ur balance, make sure you got at least 0.006 SOL (0.005 for msg + 0.000005 for gas), and try again. If it keeps failing, check Solana network status or hit up our Twitter.
Your chats never touch our servers anon. Everything's local to your browser. Zero analytics, zero tracking, zero surveillance. True privacy, not web2 privacy theater. We can't read your messages, we can't sell your data, we can't hand it over to anyone. Only thing on-chain is the payment tx (which is public on Solana like all blockchain transactions). But your actual message content? 100% private. Not your keys, not your chat. Not our servers, not our data. This is what web3 privacy looks like ser.
100% fam. Works in any mobile browser. Just need a mobile Solana wallet like Phantom or Solflare. Chat from anywhere, anytime. Responsive design adapts to your screen. Same features as desktop. Pay with SOL on the go. Touch-optimized UI. Works on iOS and Android. No app store BS, no downloads, just open your mobile browser and connect wallet. We're fully responsive from 320px to 4K displays.
Each wallet = separate history ser. Switch wallets, see that wallet's chats. Original wallet's history is still there when you reconnect. All local, all yours. This is by design for privacy. Want to keep work chats separate from personal? Use different wallets. Want to share a wallet with someone? They'll see those chats. It's wallet-based not account-based. Pure web3 UX.
Built on Solana for speed and low fees. Uses Solana Web3.js for wallet integration. Payment verification happens on-chain before AI response. Frontend is Next.js 15, backend uses Vercel serverless functions. AI models accessed via official APIs. Local storage for chat history (browser localStorage). No backend database, no user accounts, no centralized state. Fully open source soon. Based architecture.
Solana = fast and cheap ser. Sub-second finality, fees under $0.001. ETH would cost you $5-50 per message in gas alone. That's a big nope. Other L2s are cool but Solana just hits different for micropayments. 65k TPS capacity, proven at scale, massive DeFi ecosystem. Plus the wallet UX on Solana is unmatched (Phantom is chef's kiss). We're chain-agnostic in principle but Solana is the obvious choice for pay-per-use AI. Maybe we'll add other chains later but Solana is home base.
Soon™: More AI models (Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek), Image generation (DALL-E, Midjourney), Voice chat support, Chat export/backup, Referral program (earn SOL for invites), Mobile app (PWA first), Multi-wallet support, Chat sharing (optional), API access for devs. We're shipping fast anon. Follow us on Twitter for updates. Community feedback drives the roadmap. Drop suggestions in our DMs. WAGMI.
Yes ser. We only request transaction signing permission, never access to your private keys. Each payment requires manual approval in your wallet. You see exactly how much SOL you're sending before approving. We use official Solana wallet adapter (industry standard). No smart contract risks, just simple SOL transfers. Your keys never leave your wallet. Standard web3 security best practices. If someone asks for your seed phrase, it's not us (obviously). Not your keys, not your coins. We just facilitate the tx, you control everything.
Hit up our Twitter @pay402chat for support. DMs are open. Usually respond within a few hours. Common issues: make sure wallet is connected, check SOL balance (need 0.005+ per message), try refreshing page, check Solana network status, try different browser if problems persist. For bugs or feature requests, Twitter is the best place. We're a small team shipping fast, appreciate your patience fren. Community helps community - check other users' questions on our Twitter too.
